DANBURY, Conn., January 28, 2009: Solomon Technologies, Inc. (OTC:SOLM) announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued Patent No. 7,481,730, titled Multiple Input, Dual Output Electric Differential Motor Transmission System, which is adjunct to the Solomon's existing Electric Transaxle(TM) patent.

Peter W. DeVecchis, Jr., President of Solomon said: "Once the technology encompassed in our patent is fully implemented, it will be possible for a consumer to drive into an automotive service center with a gas-powered car, have it converted and drive away with a PEV or HEV within hours. This concept makes former Intel CEO Andrew Grove's challenge to convert 10 million PSVs (Pickups, SUVs and Vans) by 2012 a real possibility with a tremendous, positive environmental impact."

This technology builds upon the company's Electric Wheel(R) patent to provide a complete power drive solution for hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and plug- in electric vehicle architectures without the need to modify the existing chassis. Solomon is working with and seeking additional industry partners to develop universal, drop-in electric drives to address the growing conversion market as well as for OEM deployment.

The technology has application in a number of the Company's energy conversion initiatives including advanced terrestrial applications.

"At Solomon, we are committed to developing and commercializing technology to create smart, environmentally-friendly solutions for manufacturers and consumers," DeVecchis said.
