MULGRAVE, Australia – January 27, 2009: The BMW X3 has been declared the most reliable vehicle on Germany’s roads for the second year running.

The result is based on the evaluation of over two million cases drawn from German breakdown statistics as well as a customer satisfaction study with 43,000 participants.

As a result, the German automobile association ADAC awarded the prestigious “Yellow Angel” to the BMW X3 in the “Quality” category. Accordingly, the BMW X3 last year gave German roadside assistance mechanics the least trouble of all cars, confirming the high quality level of the Sports Activity Vehicle.

Alongside its excellent on-road manners, the BMW X3’s reputation for premium quality is one of the hallmarks of its success. Australian sales of the BMW X3 increased nine per cent last year, despite difficult market conditions.

The BMW X3, which first went on sale in Australia mid way through 2004, has become a best-seller worldwide with over 500,000 having been delivered to date. Locally, the frugal X3 xDrive20d has become the best seller in the range, accounting for over half of total sales.
