Alex Kennedy Ready for Toyota Showdown

Aztec, NM January 20, 2009: Last year at this time sixteen year old Alex Kennedy could never have imagined racing at the Toyota Showdown to start the year. But this weekend at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, California that is exactly how this youngster will start his 2009 season!

“Getting to race against such an amazing field of drivers is the best way to start my new year,” said Alex Kennedy. “This is the stuff dreams are made of and the perfect way to launch our 2009 ‘Drive for Dreams!’” Alex is a National Ambassador for Dream Factory Inc in addition to NASCAR star Carl Edwards.

This awareness and fund raising program started through a friendship with Joey Lindsey at an outing at I-70 Speedway when Alex raced in the ASA Late Model Series tour. “Dream Factory makes dreams come true for kids with chronic or life threatening illnesses,” explained Alex. “We look forward to sharing our exciting season with lots of Dream Factory families this season!” Alex will pilot the No. 37 car this weekend for Spraker Racing Enterprises.

“Alex is the real deal,” said Jeff Spraker. “I like our chances in 2009 in the NASCAR Camping World East division…I can’t wait to get the season started!”
