IRVINE, Calif. January 20, 2009: Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS), a leading manufacturer of copiers, facsimiles, multifunction printing products, network controllers and toner products, today announced its partnership with Grand-Am Road Racing as the official document and business solutions provider for the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. The TABS-sponsored mobile business solutions center will be stationed at each event throughout the racing series, which begins Jan. 22 with the Rolex 24 at Daytona and ends Oct. 10 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.
“Toshiba is revved-up about the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series,” said Kay Fernandez, vice president, Marketing, TABS. “Grand-Am Road Racing has allowed us to offer much more than sponsoring the event in name only. Toshiba is thrilled to provide a full-service office environment featuring Toshiba’s award-winning technology at each race location to help keep race teams connected and productive on the road.”
Toshiba’s mobile business solutions center will serve as a transportable office and production center for Grand-Am teams, drivers, media and race officials. Amenities will include color printing, copying, scanning and faxing capabilities on Toshiba’s award-winning e-STUDIO4520c multifunction product (MFP). Toshiba’s state-of-the-art meeting area also will provide laptop stations, wireless Internet connection, refreshments and conference rooms with a Toshiba HD LCD TV and a Toshiba projector. The SPEED channel also will run live on a Toshiba RegzaŽ LCD TV just outside the center for visitors to watch the race.
“We are very excited to have Toshiba join our Grand-Am family of partners,” said Kevin Hindson, vice president, Marketing and Communications, Grand-Am Road Racing. “Toshiba is one of the few companies out there who we know can keep pace with our teams’ high speed and performance standards.”
Toshiba joined forces again this year with Wayne Taylor Racing to sponsor the SunTrust No. 10 car.
