DENVER, N.C. January 16, 2008: Gentleman Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey, the only whiskey in the world that is charcoal mellowed twice for an exceptionally smooth taste, will be the primary sponsor of the No. 2 Childress-Howard Motorsports team for the 2009 Rolex 24 at Daytona scheduled for Jan. 24-25 at Daytona International Speedway.

The driver lineup for the No. 2 CHM Pontiac Crawford Daytona Prototype includes three-time Rolex 24 overall winner Andy Wallace (1990, ’97, ’99), NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and 2006 Rolex 24 overall winner Casey Mears, IndyCar Series star and 2006 Rolex 24 competitor Danica Patrick, and veteran sports car racer Rob Finlay. Mears begins his first season with Richard Childress Racing in 2009 driving the No. 07 Jack Daniel’s Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

“Gentleman Jack is proud to be a part of the 2009 Rolex 24 at Daytona with the Childress-Howard Motorsports team of Andy Wallace, Casey Mears, Danica Patrick, and Rob Finlay,” said Mark Grindstaff, Jack Daniel’s Brand Marketing Director. “The Rolex 24 has a passionate audience that shares an appreciation for the finer things in life, like great racing and Gentleman Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey.”

First introduced in 1988, and unlike any other whiskey in the world, Gentleman Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey (80 proof) is charcoal mellowed twice, once before and once again after the maturation process. The result is a smooth whiskey with a rich, rewarding taste. A taste elegant enough to mark an important occasion, distinctive enough to preserve a memory and refined enough to give as a gift.

“Childress-Howard Motorsports couldn’t be happier to showcase Gentleman Jack in this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona,” said Richard Childress, co-owner of CHM. “The paint scheme looks great and I can’t wait to see the car on the race track. The makers of Gentleman Jack and the CHM race team both have a dedication to creating something special.”
