2009 Detroit Auto Show: AutoWeek Offers Free Audio Tour of the 2009 North American International Auto Show

DETROIT, January 14, 2009: The editors at AutoWeek released today an audio podcast tour of the 2009 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), which is now available, along with a map of the show floor, for free download at autoweek.com/detroittour. The podcast can be saved to portable devices to accompany those attending the event. For those unable to attend, the podcast is an interactive way to experience one of the world's largest international auto shows remotely using the interactive Web map and photo galleries.

The podcast, which narrates a two-hour tour of the show floor is led by members of the AutoWeek editorial staff. The segments include interviews with Dave Schembri of smart USA, Scott Keogh of Audi of America, Ralph Gilles of Chrysler and Ed Welburn of General Motors, among others.

The podcast, which is divided into nearly 50 chapters corresponding to manufacture display, provides editor insight into almost every brand at the show, including:

  -- Volkswagen
  -- Bentley
  -- Toyota
  -- Lamborghini

AutoWeek editors announced yesterday the winner of the 2009 Editors' Choice Awards, which recognize the Best in Show, Best Concept, Most Significant and Most Fun of the NAIAS. The North American International Auto Show is open to the public on Saturday, January 17, through Sunday, January 25, and is held at The Cobo Center in Detroit. More information can be found at NAIAS.
