Jeep Western Waves Team Make First Appearance
AUTO CENTRAL – January 14, 2009: Jeep is the exclusive vehicle sponsor for the Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman series and now in 2009 Jeep will be the official sponsor of the West Australian team the ‘Jeep Western Waves’.
The Ironman series has been an iconic sporting event on Australian beaches and Jeep is pleased to be part of the future success of the sport and its athletes.

Summer is set to get a whole lot hotter this year as the Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman and Ironwoman Series kicks into action. The series will be held over the below dates and will feature the iconic Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, the official support vehicle for Surf Sports Australia.
The Jeep team is made up of 6 super-fit men and women who will compete in the Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman Series in 2009. Captained by the winner of the Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Series in 2007 Alicia Marriot, where she was handed the keys to a brand new Jeep Wrangler Sport in 2007.
“We see this as a tremendous opportunity to broaden our current relationship between Jeep and the Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman series.” Said Grant Baldock General Manager Surf Sports.
The Jeep Western Waves Team is made up of the following West Australian athletes, Alicia Marriott, Rebecca Creedy, Brodie Moir, Andrew Mosel, Luke Nisbet and Brendan Sarson.
With each state boasting a strong stable of stars, the 2009 Series is shaping up to be one of the most fiercely contested in history. Athletes will battle it out for a $200,000 prize pool which includes a Jeep for a 12 month period to each winning male and female of the series.
