Braselton, GA. January 6, 2009: In a recent video interview Scott Sharp looks back on leaving the IRL and returning to his roots in sports cars. He goes on to discuss the growth of the Acura program and working with Patrón Highcroft Racing to build the new LMP1 effort.

"Anytime you make a big transition and join a whole new series, new car, new team and everything, you expect there to be hurdles," Sharp said. "It has just gone so well I think overall. The car is fantastic to drive. Certainly coming from what I was doing to this - knowing there was a pretty large transition for me - there was a bit more not nervousness but nerve-wracking or anticipation. I think going from LMP2 to LMP1, knowing the capabilities of this team, knowing the kind of product Acura and Wirth Research will put together...obviously there is an acclimation period and certainly we will do a lot of testing. But I am excited about it and I think it is going to be fantastic."
