Lloyd Ruby Added as Panelist at Amelia Island "The Great Roadster Drivers" Seminar

Multi-faceted Driver Successful In Many Forms Of Racing JACKSONVILLE, FL January 6, 2009: The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Foundation, Inc. announced today that Lloyd Ruby will be on the panel for "The Great Roadster Drivers" seminar during the 14th annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, March 13-15, 2009. The Wichita Falls, Texas native will join greats Johnny Rutherford, Bobby Unser, Parnelli Jones, and Jim Rathmann for a discussion on the exciting era of front-engine roadster racing.

The Great Roadster Drivers will be held Saturday, March 14, in the Ritz-Carlton's Grand Ballroom and will recount two events which happened a half century ago: the first United States Formula One race, which was held at Sebring International Raceway, and the only time that Indy cars raced at Daytona International Speedway. Ruby's insight on Daytona will be particularly telling for the audience. Tickets are $25 and available at AMELIA CONCOURS.

The 2009 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance will be held March 13-15 on the 10th and 18th fairways of The Golf Club of Amelia Island at Summer Beach adjacent to The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. The show will honor the achievements of versatile racer/SPEED Channel commentator David Hobbs and the cars of Bohman & Schwartz. The show's foundation has donated nearly $1.6 million to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, Inc. since 1996.
