New Brunswick, CDN. December 28, 2008: A season of improved finishes and continued progress, the 2008 Michael Broderick Season ended on a high note for 17 year old Moncton, New Brunswick resident Michael Broderick. At first glance Michael Broderick, a young man with a self-described "need for speed" and an affinity for grease under his fingernails, looks more like a typical Canadian teen than a future race car driver. But underneath that poised and characteristic exterior beats the heart of a competitive race car driver who lives for the roar of an engine and burning tires.

Expanding Awareness of Michael Broderick and his Sponsors is the goal

Last Summer, Michael began his competitive racing career driving in the Thundercat Series. In his first season, Michael placed eighth in the overall Thundercat Division standings. Most notably, he won the 2007 Via Rail Most Dedicated Driver Award.

Moving forward to the 2008 season, Michael collected 2 top-5 finishes, 8 top-10 finishes and was on the pole for one race. He closed the season 4th in the overall standings, 107 points behind the champion. While the impact on this season may seem minimal, it is evident that this is just the beginning for Michael Broderick!

BarnYard BBQ continued their sponsorship with Michael Broderick for the 2008 season. Their association has been extremely important to Michael, especially for a young driver trying to establish himself as a good race car driver and build a successful racing program. New sponsors are always welcomed and very much appreciated. Associating your brand with Michael Broderick is a fun and exciting way to use your advertising dollars to reach thousands of potential customers. Michael Broderick is the perfect driver to represent your brand.

Unwilling to give up on his dream to race in NASCAR, Michael is undoubtedly a driver that could end up hoisting a championship trophy in the near future. "As far back as I can remember, I've wanted to be a race car driver," says Broderick, a grade 12 student at Bernice MacNaughton High School. "It's the only thing I want to do."
