DENVER, N.C. December 23, 2008: This past weekend, Eddie Sharp Racing traveled to Daytona International Speedway for the first test session to prep drivers and teams for the upcoming 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series season. 62 drivers came out for the three day test sessions which proved success for Eddie Sharp Racing.

Driving the No. 20 Eddie Sharp Racing Dodge was Steve Arpin, who showcased his talent by having the 10th best overall drafting run of the three day test.

Arpin stated, "The Daytona test was awesome! It was my first time drafting. What an experience! I can't wait for the race in February!"

Rolex Series 2008 Rookie of the Year, Tim George Jr. got down to business with his new car and team with the ARCA RE/MAX Series, which included crew chief Johnny Allen.

"I was glad to get back in the racecar after the mid-winter doldrums of not driving," said George. "Daytona caught my attention right from the first lap. The bumps at Daytona make it challenging to get the car to do what you want it to - especially in the draft."

Craig Goess joins Eddie Sharp Racing for a second year. In 2008, Goess piloted the No. 2 Greenville Toyota in the NASCAR Camping World Series East. Ready to roll in 2009, Goess climbed behind the wheel of his No. 81 Greenville Toyota this weekend and kicked off his ARCA RE/MAX Series career.

"It was great to be at Daytona for the first time," said Goess. "I know that when we return in February for the race, the crew and I will have all of our I's dotted and T's crossed."

Eddie Sharp racing and its three talented drivers will next hit the track at their second Daytona test in mid January.
