SAIPA Unveils New Miniator in Iran

TEHRAN, Iran - December 15, 2008: SAIPA, a state-owned Iranian automobile producer has unveiled its new Miniator this weekend.

According to ISNA, an Iranian news agency, the unveiling ceremony was attended by President Ahmadinejad.

Miniator is claimed to be fully self-developed sedan, which is powered by a new, 1,5-liter 80-hp four-cylinder engine. A new subsidiary, Kashan SAIPA which has a capacity of 200,000 units a year will take up production of the car.

Miniator will replace SAIPA's main product, the old Kia Pride.
