IMS ANNOUNCES 2009 CENTENNIAL GALA PRESENTING SPONSORS

INDIANAPOLIS, Wednesday, November 26, 2008: Four companies woven deeply into the fabric of the central Indiana community will serve as presenting sponsors for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Centennial Gala: Just Marketing International, Old National Bank, the Indiana Pacers and Honda.

The Gala, which will take place Friday, Feb. 27 at the Indiana Convention Center, will start the Speedway’s three-year Centennial Era celebration from 2009-2011.

“We’re thrilled that these four companies have become partners in our Centennial Gala,” said Joie Chitwood, IMS president and chief operating officer. “This sponsorship is yet another example of their strong relationship with IMS, which we value greatly, and will help to make this event even more unforgettable.”

Law firm Ice Miller, an Indianapolis Motor Speedway business partner since the 1930s, is title sponsor of the Centennial Gala.

Each of the four presenting sponsors will possess naming rights to a certain aspect of the Centennial Gala. Just Marketing International is presenting sponsor of the Centennial Gala cocktail reception, Old National Bank is sponsor of the dinner, and the Indiana Pacers will sponsor the evening’s entertainment. Centennial Gala guests also will receive an IMS Centennial tribute book that evening, sponsored by Honda.

Just Marketing International is a motorsports marketing company with clients and programs reaching into every motorsports series worldwide. The company is based in the Indianapolis suburb of Zionsville.

Old National Bancorp is an Evansville, Ind.-based financial services company serving clients in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.

The Indiana Pacers kicked off their 33rd season as an NBA franchise on Oct. 29; the team was founded as an American Basketball Association franchise in 1967.

Leading global automobile manufacturer Honda also is presently the exclusive engine supplier for the IndyCar Series, which counts the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race as its crown-jewel event. The 93rd Indianapolis 500 will take place Sunday, May 24, 2009 at IMS.

The Centennial Gala is the first of many events over the next three years that will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which was founded and built in 1909, and the 100th anniversary of the inaugural Indianapolis 500 in 1911.
