Hella Acquires An Interest In The Turkish Trading Company Intermobil

LIPPSTADT/ISTANBUL, November 26, 2008: On January 1, 2009, the automotive supplier Hella KGaA Hueck & Co., Lippstadt, will take over 49 percent of the shares in the Turkish vehicle-parts trading company Intermobil, which is based in Istanbul. As the company announced on the occasion of the signing of the contract on November 25, 2008 in Lippstadt, the cooperation is a strategic investment in the important Turkish market for service parts and accessories for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Intermobil is one of the largest representative partners for European and American automakers and parts manufacturers in Turkey and has been working there as a trading partner for Hella for more than fifteen years. Moreover, the product portfolio of the company includes further important brands of the vehicle-parts industry. In addition, Intermobil supplies customers in the special original equipment sector as well as automakers in Turkey. This successful business model will continue unchanged. "With the stronger cooperation, we are making it clear what great significance the Turkish automotive aftermarket has for the further development of our global aftermarket business," said Dr. Jürgen Behrend, Chairman and President of Hella KGaA Hueck & Co., on the occasion of the signing of the contract.
