CP supporter Cruz Pedregon capitalized on a two-month hot streak to win his second career Funny Car Championship, and in Pro Stock, KB Racing’s Greg Anderson picked up the Wally over fellow CP supporter Kurt Johnson as Johnson fouled out by .004 off the starting line. After a slow start to the season, Pedregon, who won his first Funny Car championship in 1992, collected his first 2008 Wally trophy in Richmond in early October. He then followed it up with another win in Las Vegas in early November and closed out the season with his third consecutive Funny Car win on Sunday.
