Sepang, Malaysia November 23, 2008: TW Steel, the ‘Official Watch and Timing Partner’ of A1GP World Cup of Motorsport celebrated the series’ fourth visit to the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia today by crowning Miss Parveen Singh as ‘Miss TW Steel Malaysia’.

The 25-year-old from Kuala Lumpur beat off stiff competition from nine other finalists to become the third national winner in TW Steel’s global search to find ‘Miss TW Steel 2008-09’ – each round of A1GP hosting its own domestic event leading up to the grand finale at Brands Hatch in England in May 2009 when the overall winner will take the ‘Miss TW Steel’ title, $25,000 U.S. in prize money and participate in a photo-shoot for a leading lifestyle magazine.

Miss Singh was the unanimous winner of ‘Miss TW Steel Malaysia’ as she faced the judging panel which this weekend comprised of Jordy Cobelens, Managing Director of TW Steel, Pete da Silva, Chief Executive Officer of A1GP, Chris Wee, Editor of EVO Malaysia and finally South African TV personality Adrian Bennetts.

TW Steel further capitalized on the popularity of A1GP in Malaysia, today’s races at Sepang playing out before packed grandstands, with a busy retail outlet located in the paddock showcasing a wide range of its oversized watches including the new TW Steel A1GP collection.

“It’s been a fantastic weekend both on and off track here in Malaysia,” said TW Steel Managing Director, Jordy Cobelens. “As always the ‘Miss TW Steel’ competition proved to be extremely popular in the paddock and once again the judging panel had some tough decisions to make. Parveen (Singh) is a worthy winner of the Malaysian title and we look forward to welcoming her to the grand finale in England next May.

“Today’s races were equally exciting to watch and we’d like to pass on our congratulations to Neel Jani and A1 Team Switzerland, and Adam Carroll and A1 Team Ireland for their respective Sprint and Feature race wins. Considering the heat and humidity encountered here this weekend everyone working in the A1GP paddock did a great job.”
