Changes in Executive Committee at SEAT, S.A.

MARTORELL – October 31, 2008: Jan-Henrik Lafrentz (42) current Vice-President for Finances at SEAT, S.A., will head Sales and Marketing, in the place of Berthold Krüger (55) who will be taking on new management responsibilities in the Group’s Sales and Marketing areas. The new Vice-President for Finances will be Dieter Seemann (51)

Holding a Degree in Business Administration, Lafrentz joined the Volkswagen Group in 1994. After working through different stages in the field of Controlling at Audi AG (Germany), in 1997 he was appointed head of Finances and Administration at the importer Volkswagen-Audi Espańa, S.A. in Spain. In 2001 Lafrentz became Head of Controlling of Audi AG’s subsidiary companies, a post he retained until his appointment at Head of Finances at SEAT in 2003. In July 2004 he was appointed Vice-President for Finances and Organization at the Spanish brand.

Seemann joined the Volkswagen group in 1985. After taking a degree in Engineering, he held diverse posts of responsibility in the area of purchases for both the brand and group. In 1989 he was appointed Head of Purchases at Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive, later occupying the same post at Volkswagen Mexico. Since February 2002, Seemann has been Deputy Manager and Executive Sales and Marketing Director at Volkswagen Shanghai Automotive.
