SLOUGH, UNITED KINGDOM – October 24, 2008: Citroën vans now form the entire light van fleet of leading Midlands office supplier Sovereign Office Equipment, thanks to a recent order for Relay and Berlingo vans. Its six Relay 35 L3H2 120hp vans and Berlingo First 1.6HDi van, all supplied by Citroën Birmingham, are finished in eye-catching yellow, helping Sovereign to stand out on the streets.

Sovereign's general manager, Chris Allen explained that the new additions to the fleet will be used for multi-drop deliveries of stationery throughout the region. He said, “The high payload and carrying capacity of the Citroën Relay vans were a definite plus for us in our intensive delivery operations in busy urban areas.”

He added, “We were also impressed with the Citroëns' high level of standard equipment, including Trafficmaster satellite navigation, which is a must for anyone doing this type of delivery work. Overall, Citroën offered the best value of all the light van suppliers we considered and we have now standardised on them throughout our light delivery fleet.”

The vans have been supplied on three-year, full maintenance contract hire agreements from Network Leasing and are expected to cover 20,000 miles a year.

Halesowen-based Sovereign Office Equipment is the largest independent, family-owned company in its sector in the West Midlands. An ISO9001 and ISO14001-accredited company, it offers a vast range of goods and services, ranging from stationery and office supplies, through business machines and furniture, to janitorial supplies – all delivered direct to the customer’s door.

Sovereign has received many plaudits for its customer service, one of them going so far as to describe its drivers as “a bit of a hit” thanks to their courtesy and friendliness. Chris Allen comments, “The new Citroën fleet should help them do their job even better in the future.”
