Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone "I'm really looking forward to racing in Australia. I have heard that it is a great road course. I have improved on my road course races over the past couple of years, so I hope to have a strong result. But most importantly, I plan to use this weekend as momentum for the first race of 2009 in St. Petersburg."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone "Australia is a nice place to go. Obviously, we are going to use it as another test since our opening race next year is at St. Pete. Everybody going to Australia will want to win the race because winning there is a great accomplishment, but we're also going to use the time to learn some things."
Marco Andretti, #26 Blockbuster Dallara/Honda/Firestone "I think the Australia race will be a great time. It's a fun event and I'm looking forward to going. The Blockbuster team wasn't very good on most of the road courses in 2008 so this will give us a chance to build some momentum heading into 2009 and the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. My dad (Michael) and second-cousin (John) have both won at Surfers Paradise so hopefully I can add my name to that list."
Hideki Mutoh, #27 Formula Dream Dallara/Honda/Firestone "I am very excited to race on the streets of Surfers Paradise. It will be my first time racing in Australia and it is the last race for 2008. This is going be a great race for the fans because it will give a look into 2009 with the new driver and team combinations entered in this race. I am looking for a good result for the Formula Dream team to carry us into next season."
