Governor Of The State Of Tennessee Visits Volkswagen

WOLFSBURG – October 23, 2008: The Governor of the State of Tennessee, Phil Bredesen, visited Volkswagen in Wolfsburg on Wednesday. The 50-strong delegation also included the Mayor of Chattanooga, Ron Littlefield, and media representatives from the region where the new Volkswagen production plant will be located.

The Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, Prof. Martin Winterkorn, and plant manager Siegfried Fiebig greeted the guests at the Werkforum during the course of the day. The visitors toured the various stages of Golf production and then discussed alternative powertrains with experts.

A presentation by Group Design Head Walter de Silva rounded off the program. The delegation then traveled on to Berlin.
