KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY LAUNCHES 2008 SCHOOL READING PROGRAM

Kentucky Speedway’s mascot, “Horsepower,” recently helped launch the third year of the track’s RPM Reading Program in Gallatin Co., Ky., and Dillsboro, Ind. Horsepower conducts an opening pep rally before grade school students receive materials designed to motivate them to complete reading lists assembled by educators. Classes that successfully complete their lists are treated to a spring field trip to the speedway. KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY DRIVE THE TRACK SALE SET FOR SATURDAY, NOV. 1

Kentucky Speedway will play host to its final “Drive the Track Sale” of 2008 Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9:30 a.m., to 4:00 p.m. Visitors who make a minimum $40 official Gift Shop merchandise purchase will be able to drive their personal vehicles on the 1.5-mile tri-oval racetrack at the race facility. The Kentucky Speedway Gift Shop is located in the track Fan Center off of Interstate 71 Exit 57 and Ky. Hwy. 35 North in Sparta, Ky. Phone 859-567-3440 for more information.
