Briggs & Stratton Corporation Announces Results of Annual Meeting

MILWAUKEE, Oct. 15, 2008: Briggs & Stratton Corporation announced the following results of its Annual Meeting held today:

Shareholders reelected Michael E. Batten, Keith R. McLoughlin and Brian C. Walker as directors to terms expiring in 2011.

Shareholders ratified the selection of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company's independent auditors.
