1.5 Million Units Production Achieved at Magyar Suzuki

ESZTERGOM, HUNGARY - September 23, 2008: Magyar Suzuki proudly celebrates a jubilee in its 17 years’ history: the company managed to achieve a total production unit number of 1.5 million as of today. The extraordinary achievement is due to a series of investments done in the previous years as well as technical upgrades such as the almost full automatization of the welding procedures, and, nevertheless, to the 6,000 people working at Magyar Suzuki Corporation (MSC).

The car, which rolled down the production line today as the 1.5 millionth unit, was a 5 door 1,2 petrol lagoon turquoise Splash model. Splash is the latest model of the company, introduced in February, now in mass production with 60,000 units planned per annum. Currently, the own brand model line-up of MSC consists of Swift, SX4 and Splash. All these vehicles produced by MSC are environmentally friendly. MSC’s latest model, Splash’s engine meets the Euro 4 emissions standard. With CO2 emissions of just 120g/km, the vehicle is in line with the latest European emission needs, as well as the requirements of environmentally conscious customers. That is one of the reasons why the car is so popular and was nominated for the CAR OF THE YEAR 2009 Award.
