Ennis, TX., Sept, 25, 2008 – R2B2 Motors was the presenting sponsor for Kate Harker and Randy Meyer Racing at this past weekend O’Reilly Super Start Batteries NHRA Fall Nationals. The team was successful in powering their way to the final round of Top Alcohol Dragster competition.

Harker, who has been out of the competitor’s seat for over six months, drove the A/Fuel Dragster normally occupied by her identical twin sister, Diana. This was the Meyer team’s fourth final round appearance this season with Diana having won the Lucas Oil NHRA SuperNationals in Englishtown, NJ back in June.

The Meyer Racing team qualified strongly in the number two position with a blistering 5.30 seconds elapse time at 261.12 mph. In round one, Harker defeated Michael Manners using startling advantage to take a holeshot win running a 5.612 at 256.45 mph. Then, Harker defeated the blown entry of Darvin Martinents with a 5.551 at 256.60 mph pass. The Harker and Meyer team continued carving their way to the finals with a 5.664 at 258.52 mph victory over Dale Cox Jr.

In her final round match-up, Harker would go against the number one qualifier, Jim Whiteley. Harker and Meyer notched up the tuning efforts on the A/Fuel dragster but it was not enough to hold off Whiteley’s quicker 5.333 at 268.12 mph run to Harker’s 5.423 at 265.33 mph pass.

“We defiantly gave it our all this weekend” said Harker “We had lady luck on our side and most importantly we were able to take advantage of other teams’ mistake’s and inconsistency to reach the finals.”

“Randy and Mary Meyer have a professional team and program” continued Harker “I very much enjoyed my time working with them and receiving driving guidance from Randy. It is a wonderful feeling when you have the support of people like the Meyer’s and their crew ever time you go to the start line, I felt safe and competitive.”

The next race for the Harker-Meyer team will be the Lucas Oil Division Four event held at Red River Raceway in Gilliam, LA across October 3-5. Diana will be taking back the keys to the Meyer machine for this event with her focus on gaining valuable division points.
