Hella at Automechanika - World Premiere of Mega Macs 42

FRANKFURT – September 17, 2008: Together with its premiere at the Automechanika, the small multibrand tester mega macs 42 marks the start of the new joint venture called Hella Gutmann Solutions. The know-how of Gutmann and Hella is combined in the new mega macs 42 and sets the direction for comprehensive diagnostics. A broad scope of services at low cost make mega macs 42 best suitable for workshops as introduction to diagnostics or as second tool for urgent applications!

On the basis of up-to-date technology and software, mega macs 42 offers services as i.e. Reading/Deleting Fault Codes, Service Intervall Resets, Codings, Basic Settings, Diagnostics through parameter readout with graphic indications and Actuator Tests. All these functions can be quickly accessed with simply 9 buttons.

What is getting more and more important for the future is, that mega macs 42 offers access to the comprehensive Gutmann diagnostic data base and the integration* into the Hella Data and Diagnostic System, DDS. Both possibilities turn the tester into an extensive library of data. At the push of a button, it delivers fast access to all important vehicle- and component data. The mega macs 42 user of course has also the opportunity to gain access to the competent Gutmann technical call center. In short, mega macs 42 offers everything, that is necessary for the efficient diagnostics of electronically controlled vehicle systems. As in every case of Gutmann tools, this holds for the entire range of vehicles and models without exception.

The handheld tool with integrated batteries has 205 x 130 x 45 mm (LxWxH), weighs 1560 g and easily fits in every tool trolley. Mega macs 42 contains a special high-definition colour TFT, which displays all numerical values and graphics in high-resolution images. The regular software updates can be as always downloaded via Internet and - thanks to an integrated bluetooth interface - even wireless.

Workshops can lease the handheld tester with the All Star 42 licence for only 99 Euro per month. Hence, users can profit at least 12 months from mega macs 42 and all its services at a fixed price. At the end of this time the licence can be terminated once a month. But that's probably not the aim!
