NHRA Summit Racing Series, Monday from O'Reilly Raceway Park, Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS - Lance Stillwell picked up the biggest win of his career as the final pair of cars made their way down the quarter-mile Monday morning for the 32nd Annual NHRA North Central Division Summit Racing Series Finals. Stillwell, out of Terre Haute, Ind., and running for Action City Dragway, ran right on his dial-in with a 4.840 second pass at 141.82 mph defeating hometown racer Bob Locke of Whiteland, Ind., and O'Reilly Raceway Park. Stillwell joins Sunday's winner's Joe Lee - Pro ET, Jimmie Barrett - Sportsman, and Chad Isley - Super Pro Bike in advancing to the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championship in Pomona, Calif., in mid-November. The North Central Division Champions will do battle with the champions from the other six NHRA divisions for a winner take all $5000 purse and the title of NHRA Summit Racing Series National Champion. Rain throughout the weekend and late on Sunday forced officials to postpone final eliminations for the Super Pro class on Sunday.
