Silverstone, England September 12, 2008 – James Watt Automotive (JWA) is delighted to welcome One York, residential condominium in Tribeca, as an official event partner for this weekend’s debut of the #93 Aston Martin Vantage GT2 in the ‘Autosport 1000km of Silverstone’, the fifth and final round of the 2008 Le Mans Series, Friday 12th – Sunday 14th September.

Elegantly poised between Tribeca and Soho, two of Manhattan’s most affluent neighbourhoods, One York offers 32 residences seamlessly fusing modern luxury with historic surroundings, defining the standard for contemporary living. The 14-strory New York condominium has been designed by internationally renowned architect, Enrique Norten, who is also designing the proposed Guggenheim Museum in Mexico. One York successfully retains Norten’s trademark style while reflecting its New York surroundings. Listed by the Financial Times as one of the top-five “high-spec” buildings in the world, the unquestionable attraction of One York has appealed to buyers from around the world. One York Condominium has been cited in the New York Times, Vanity Fair, Vogue, and GQ and other major publications. There are only few remaining units available, including the most spectacular penthouse.

The showpiece of One York is undoubtedly the stunning $37million penthouse. With over 6,000 square feet of interior space and 2,000 square feet of terrace, this duplex penthouse presents the finest space downtown New York has to offer with 360 degrees of unobstructed and protected views. In addition, a private 20x11 swimming pool is included along with an Aston Martin in the garage. One York is proud to offer its residents a state of the art parking system, the only private automated system currently in operation in New York.

“I’m delighted to welcome One York as an official event partner,” stated JWA Team Principal, James Watt. “The appeal of the Le Mans Series and the Aston Martin brand are exceptional and I’m extremely happy that our involvement with both has attracted the attention of such an exciting and aspirational development as One York. The Le Mans Series and sports car racing’s global appeal is only growing stronger and we’re excited to be able to engage world-class businesses through our on-track activities. We’re looking forward to hosting One York as we look ahead to a full-time campaign with the Aston Martin Vantage GT2 in 2009.”

One York’s Charles Darwish, Principal, commented; “One York is a spectacular New York residence so it’s only fitting that we promote it through a platform with similar appeal. The Le Mans Series is undoubtedly a leader in the field of sports car competition and JWA’s decision to compete with the Aston Martin Vantage GT2 proved equally desirable as we feel there’s a great deal of synergy between our respective brands. One York is a celebration of excellence and there’s no doubt that the mention of Aston Martin conjures up the same sense of design, detail and luxury. We’re delighted to be partnering with JWA. Europe is a key territory for our marketing activities and our engagement with JWA marks an exciting time in our promotional strategy and is another a great example of Anglo-American partnerships working together.”

The One York-backed JWA #93 Aston Martin Vantage GT2 will be raced this weekend in the ultra-competitive GT2 class of the Le Mans Series by Tim Sugden (GBR), Alan van der Merwe (SA) and Michael Outzen (DK). Emulating the spirit of the illustrious ’24 Hours of Le Mans’ race, the ‘Autosport 1000km of Silverstone’ on Sunday 14th September will provide the packed Le Mans Series field, mixing prototype and GT sports cars across four classes, with a six-hour endurance race around the famous British circuit, the event drawing to a close another compelling season of Europe’s finest sports car competition – www.lemans-series.com
