Holecek Appointed Volkswagen's Managing Director for HR at New Plant in Kaluga

WOLFSBURG – September 1, 2008: Jaroslav Holecek (52) will assume responsibility for human resources (HR) at the new Volkswagen plant in Kaluga, Russia with effect from September 1, 2008. Holecek is currently the Board member for HR at Volkswagen Slovakia in Bratislava. These duties will for the time being be carried out by Bohdan Wojnar (47), Board member for Finance at VW Slovakia, in addition to his present responsibilities.

Slovakian-born Holecek joined Volkswagen Slovakia as an engineer in 1992 and was instrumental in planning and setting up the new Bratislava plant. He was named Head of HR in 1994 and appointed to the Board of Management of Volkswagen Slovakia in 1999. He moved to the Management Board of the Autoeuropa plant in Portugal in 2001, taking responsibility for HR there. He has been the Board member for HR at Volkswagen Slovakia since May 2005.

Engineer and economist Bohdan Wojnar joined Skoda Auto in the Czech Republic in 1985 and became Head of Controlling there in 1996. He has been the Board member responsible for Finance and Controlling at Volkswagen Slovakia since September 2006.
