INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug. 23, 2008) - Andretti Green Racing (AGR) announced today that Englishman James Rossiter will make a third start in the team's XM Acura alongside Franck Montagny in next weekend's Detroit Sports Car Challenge American Le Mans Series event at Belle Isle.
Rossiter and Montagny combined for a strong effort in the Generac 500 at Road America on Aug. 9 and are teamed again this weekend in the Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport, which goes green tomorrow at 3:05 p.m. (EDT).
James Rossiter, #26 XM Satellite Radio Acura: "I've really enjoyed my time with Andretti Green in the XM Acura thus far and feel that Franck and I have been a good compliment to each other in the car. We've shown the type of speed that it takes to win these races and now we just need a bit of luck to land on our side. I know the Belle Isle course will be new to both Franck and I, but I'm confident we will be up to the task."
Michael Andretti, co-owner, Andretti Green Racing: "We've been very impressed with James so far in his short time with the team. He is fast and has provided us with great feedback. There seems to be good chemistry between Franck and James both in and out of the car and they both fit in really well with the team. We really believe consistency in the driver lineup is the most important thing for the XM team right now, so we're glad James can make another start for us at Belle Isle."
