Meurer Responsible for Control and Coordination of Group Communications at Volkswagen AG

With effect from September 1, Andreas Meurer (50) will assume responsibility for controlling and coordinating Group Communications at Volkswagen AG. He will report to Stephan Grühsem, General Representative of Volkswagen AG and Head of Group Communications, External Relations and Investor Relations.

With effect from the same date, Peik von Bestenbostel (49) takes over from Meurer as Head of the Corporate and Business section at Group Communications. A trained journalist, Bestenbostel was business editor at Bayerischer Rundfunk before joining BMW AG, where his posts included Head of Corporate Communications. Bestenbostel then moved to Siemens AG as Head of Media Relations and most recently Head of Policy Development. He will also report to the Head of Group Communications.
