Amidst preparations for the team's second NASCAR Nationwide Series start of the season, Transnet Racing has announced that the No. 98 Dixien/OmniSource Chevrolet will have a very special message for the fans in Montreal.

Alex Garcia, owner and driver of the team's entry in the NAPA Auto Parts 200, will say thank you with a large decal on the rear deck lid of #004 chassis that reads, "Merci Fans!" The car will also feature the Fleurdelisé, the blue and white flag of Quebec.

The Venezuelan owner/driver decided to run the fan tribute due to the warm welcome he received in the inaugural NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in 2007. "The atmosphere at last season's race was unbelievable. The stands were packed the entire weekend and you could feel the energy down on the track," said Garcia. "The fans in Montreal are unlike any other city I've been to. They are so passionate and so excited, and that is why we wanted to say thank you to them."

This weekend's events will begin on Friday, August 1st at 10:45 AM EST with an hour and a half of practice. Alex Garcia will take the green flag on Saturday, August 2nd at 3:30 PM EST.
