Perth Show to Be a Superb Day Out
MILTON KEYNES - July 28, 2008: Škoda’s new head turning and aptly named Superb will be making an appearance at the forthcoming Perth Show, giving visitors a rare chance to preview the car ahead of its official launch in September.
An expected 20,000 visitors will be heading to the agricultural show at Perth to partake in various competitions and activities. In addition, 150 trade stands, of which the Thomson and Potter Škoda Retailer stand is one, will be ready to welcome visitors on Friday 1 August.
Amongst other things, visitors can expect to be thrilled by the ‘Bold Dog Lings’, an acrobatic motorcyclist team that perform radical tricks which often involve riders leaving their seat in mid air.
For the Superb, this is perhaps the one trick the technology packed saloon cannot perform. However, the car’s generous interior dimensions and great value for money proposition will be enough to wow the public.
Motor enthusiasts will be able to view the Superb between 10am and 4pm and experience their beautifully styled interior and impressive technological features. The car will also surprise those who prefer to travel as passengers with its class leading leg room for everyone to try out on the day.
David Gilbertson, Managing Director of Perth-based Thomson & Potter, comments: “This is a great window of opportunity for us to display the new Superb and a chance for people to come and see for themselves what all the hype is about.”
“We’ll be showing the vehicle off under a gazebo to keep everybody dry in the event of adverse weather and a finger buffet will be provided. We expect a lot of interest on the day as the Superb is a truly impressive car.”
Surprises will certainly not be absent from the show when the entertainment kicks in on Saturday. A tug of war between local young farmers, pony club games and a pipe and brass band are sure to amuse the many visitors.
