Gas Saving Smart ForTwo Might Also Keep Kids in School
LOWELL, Mass., July 15, 2008; ONE Lowell's raffle of a new 2008 smart fortwo will support its Lowell based anti-truancy program. The smart raffle is part of a larger fundraising event this summer, taking place on August 2nd and 3rd at Cawley Stadium and aptly titled ONE Lowell World Cup Soccer 2008. This weekend of soccer features 16 international New England teams representing countries around the world. Event and smart raffle tickets can be purchased online http://www.onelowellsoccercup.org/.
The smart fortwo exceeded Mercedes Benz' production of 30,000 vehicles and the order process has customers in line to get a smart for up to one year with a required $99 deposit. ONE Lowell is betting that the popularity of soccer and the consumer intrigue with the smart car will be a winning combination. "We're raffling a minimum 1,000 tickets at $20 each to win a smart car that has become a hot item in America," remarked ONE Lowell's executive director, Dr. Victoria Fahlberg. Dr. Fahlberg hopes that people will take a small chance to help kids stay in school.
The ONE Lowell World Cup 2008, August 2nd and 3rd at Cawley Stadium in Lowell, is described as the biggest soccer event in New England. A total of 27 games will be played during this exciting weekend of soccer. While teams come from all over New England, so too will soccer enthusiasts and families. Event tickets are just $4.00 in advance, $5 at the gate, and children 12 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online http://www.onelowellsoccercup.org/.
