WEYBRIDGE, UNITED KINGDOM – June 24, 2008: With dramatically increased retail and fleet sales for the first five months of the year under its belt, Kia is strengthening its sales team with a number of new appointments.

The Korean brand has outperformed many bigger names in a tough market since January this year. Now it is planning to put even more emphasis into maintaining that position with a number of key personnel changes.

Thomas Tollett, (37) has moved from his role as Area Manager – South to take on the Area Manager – North responsibility vacated when Andrew Sellars became Head of Corporate Sales and Remarketing just a few short weeks ago. Thomas will be responsible for co-ordinating the field team who liaise with dealers in the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Taking on the southern territory is Daniel Gregorius, (35) who was previously one of Kia’s Regional Business Managers. He will now take charge of the field team looking after dealers in the southern half of England, Wales and the Channel islands

And finally Andrew Squires, (45) also one of the Regional Business Manager team is taking on a new role as Planning and Analysis Manager based at Kia’s head office in Weybridge providing a new support service to the entire sales operation.

Yaser Shabsogh, Sales Director, said: “The business focus for everyone at Kia has been to strengthen our retail performance at the same time as re-focusing and re-vitalising our fleet activity. With these changes I am confident that we have the right people in the right places to support our dealer network.

“All three have shown themselves to be successful and creative in their previous roles within the sales team and I am certain they will build confidence amongst the dealers and allow us to continue to increase our sales performance,” he added
