AGR PRE-RACE QUOTES - IOWA SPEEDWAY
Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone "I am looking forward to going back to the Iowa Speedway. There was such a great fan turnout last year - the fans were excited and that in turn makes the drivers excited. The next three races are going to be challenging. I am getting more confident on the short ovals, and the Motorola team had a great test this week, so we are going to use that momentum going into this weekend in Iowa."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone "The first race at Iowa in 2007 was interesting for all the drivers. Unfortunately it ended badly for us. Iowa Speedway is a great race track and I think the Team 7-Eleven car is going to be tough to beat. The atmosphere is super and the fans really come out to support the race. Hopefully we'll able to put on another great show this weekend."
Marco Andretti, #26 Blockbuster Dallara/Honda/Firestone "Iowa is a very unique circuit. It is different because it is a short oval but you have a superspeedway setup on the car. You really have to put an emphasis on track position because it is very difficult to pass. The Blockbuster team has had a couple of unfortunate incidents the last two weekends but we've been very competitive and I think we'll be strong again this weekend."
Hideki Mutoh, #27 Formula Dream Dallara/Honda/Firestone "I feel a little more comfortable heading to Iowa than I would at a new track since I raced there last year in the Firestone Indy Lights series. I enjoy racing at Iowa and feel that the Formula Dream car will be quick and running up front this weekend."
Raphael Matos, #27 AFS Racing/Andretti Green Racing Dallara/Firestone "I am looking forward to getting back to racing after a few successful tests for the AFS/Andretti Green Racing team. We had a pretty good test here last week and I feel that we learned a lot for the weekend. I think we should have a successful weekend and hopefully gain some points in the championship."
Arie Luyendyk Jr., #26 AGR/AFS Dallara/Firestone "The test at Iowa went really well for the Targus/AFS/AGR team. We were second quick overall for the day, which gives us confidence going into the weekend. The season has been up and down for us. We hope to finish on the podium this weekend in order to get the momentum needed for the second half of the season in order to challenge for the championship."
