Mitsubishi Motors Reports May 2008 Sales

CYPRESS, Calif., June 3 -- Mitsubishi Motors today announced total May 2008 sales of 10,430.

Galant sales in May were 2,783, an increase of 7.9 percent over May 2007. Galant sales are up 14.5 percent calendar-year-to-date.

Lancer Evolution sales were 351, up 23.6% for the month compared to last May.

Consistent with the overall U.S. market, total Mitsubishi sales were off 23.6% for May compared to May 2007 sales of 13,651.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc., (MMNA) is responsible for all manufacturing, finance, sales, marketing, research and development operations for Mitsubishi Motors in the United States. MMNA sells coupes, convertibles, sedans, sport utility vehicles, and light trucks through a network of approximately 480 dealers.
