With "Vorsprung durch Technik" to German Open
Ingolstadt/Munich, Germany - When the HypoVereinsbank Ladies German Open tees off next Thursday, some of the lady golfers can already count on “Vorsprung durch Technik”: Audi provides each of the ten best pros with an Audi A3 Cabriolet for the duration of the tournament. Today, the players received their vehicles at the tournament venue, Golfclub Gut Häusern.
Audi supports the tournament on the outskirts of Munich as Presenting Sponsor and exclusive vehicle partner. “Audi has maintained a very successful commitment in amateur and professional golf for almost two decades. The German Open is a high-calibre tournament. As a partner of the event, we look forward to some exciting tournament days and wish all the players a successful competition,” said Bastian Kaltofen, Head of Trade Fairs, Event and Sports Marketing Germany of AUDI AG, when the cars were handed over to the players today in front of the Audi Pavilion at the tournament venue.
The Ladies German Open near Munich marks the first professional golf tournament for ladies in Germany in seven years: from 29 May to 1 June, more than 120 female professional golfers will be playing for a total pot of €250,000. Audi provides the official shuttle service and, in addition, furnishes the ten top professionals with a new Audi A3 Cabriolet powered by a 1.8-litre engine for the duration of the tournament. Besides Lisa Hall, who is currently heading the standings, Katharina Schallenberg, Elisabeth Esterl, Bettina Hauert, Kiran Matharu, Trish Johnson, Danielle Masters, Gwladys Nocera, Ludivine Kreutz and Nikki Garrett will be starting to the tournament with “Vorsprung durch Technik“.
A player falling in love with the new A3 on these first kilometres at the wheel of this vehicle will probably tee off on Thursday with even greater motivation: As a “hole-in-one” prize, Audi has donated a new Cabriolet as well.
