I could have turned into Marco and I would have taken both of us out, so I gave up the spot trying to be a good teammate. As usual, something happened to me when I was in the lead. We made a team decision to do what we did over the final couple of stints. If it works, we're in the lead with clean air in front of us. Unfortunately, we missed, but we missed as a team. We finished third and were able to get good points. Our goal is to win a championship, so we're moving on."

After that pit stop, I concentrated on gaining back my position so I was very happy when I got up to fifth. I wish I was able to keep my position until the checkered flag but it was a great and long race. It was a great experience and I enjoyed racing in the Indy 500 very much."
