Danica Patrick, #7 Motorola Dallara/Honda/Firestone "This has been a great month for the Motorola team. We have not had a whole lot of time on the track, but the time that we have been on track has been great. I am happy about starting in the second row, but this is a long race and I have to be patient and consistent throughout the entire race. My crew has worked very hard to get me a strong car and I feel confident that we will have a strong finish."
Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone "It took us a while to make the Team 7-Eleven car comfortable but thankfully we found it. It looks like it is going to be warmer on race day than it was the whole month of May, so the time we spend on the track on Carb Day will be very important. We're always strong on race day and I'm really looking forward to another Indianapolis 500."
Marco Andretti, #26 Indiana Jones/Blockbuster Dallara/Honda/Firestone "The Indiana Jones/Blockbuster car is very good and I'm happy with where we are. The race is so long and anything can happen, but in order to win, we have to limit our mistakes. The Indiana Jones/Blockbuster guys have been fantastic all year long and we have a great chance to win the race."
Hideki Mutoh, #27 Formula Dream Dallara/Honda/Firestone "I cannot believe the Indy 500 is this weekend. I am very excited and a little nervous. This whole month of May has been a great learning curve for me, and the Formula Dream team has worked so hard to get the car ready. It is great that I was able to be the fastest rookie in qualifying and I am so thankful for the team for giving me a great car. I still need to get used to running in traffic and getting it through smoothly but I hope all will go well in the race. I am looking forward to showing a good and stable performance in the Indy 500."
Raphael Matos, #27 AFS/AGR Dallara/Firestone "It has been several weeks since the open test at Indy, but we were very quick during that test, so I am confident that we will have that speed again in qualifying and for the race. We should have the speed to qualify up front, which I think is the most important thing at Indy. Arie and I are looking for a '1-2' finish this weekend to help us in the championship."
Arie Luyendyk, Jr., #26 AGR/AFS Dallara/Firestone "Coming off of Kansas and the good result we had there, we are definitely expecting big things at Indy. I love driving at Indy and have a lot of experience compared to the rest of the field. Weather may be a factor on Thursday, so if we get a shortened practice, it can be an advantage for me. Even though we didn't test at Indy, my teammate Rafa was quickest, so I'm confident that we will have a quick car. I finished third at Indy in 2004, so I'm hoping to improve on that and hopefully get a win."
