SPEEDCOM Communications To Raise Funds For Camp Boggy Creek At Next Weekend's Nurburgring 24 Hour

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – SPEECOM Communications, Marcos Racing International and the Vessel Hope Foundation have joined forces to raise funds for Florida's Camp Boggy Creek in next weekend's Nurburgring 24 Hour where a team of four drivers in a BMW 120 Turbo Diesel will turn one of racing's most renowned endurance contests into a race for charity.

Drivers Ian James, Toto Lassally, Daniel Dror and John Macaluso will be just one team in the May 24 – 25 a race that is expected to draw more than 250 entries. They will be racing, however, for more than just a victory in the S1 class. Supporters can sign up now via the web site www.vesselhope.com and make a pledge to support Boggy Creek at a variety of available levels through the SPEEDCOM team that will take up the challenge of one of the most daunting and difficult race tracks in existence.

Nicknamed "The Green Hell," the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit is over 25 kilometers long and features nearly 75 major turns. The Nurburgring circuit in Germany has been a fixture on the international motorsports calendar for decades and such famous drivers as Jackie Stewart, Hans Stuck, Juan Manuel Fangio, Dan Gurney, and Jacky Ickx have all raced at the Ring.

Supporters are encouraged to donate early and often in order to be acknowledged by the team during the race. Donation levels range from a $25 partner level on up to a $1,000 corporate donation. The team hopes to have earned more than $10,000 in pledges by the time the race starts next weekend.

One of Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Camps, Boggy Creek, located in Eustis, Florida, annually provides thousands of children with terminal or life-threatening diseases an authentic summer camp setting and environment free of charge. The facility includes everything a child needs to have a true summer camp experience along with state-of-the-art medical equipment and personnel.
