Mercedes Introduces New Limited Edition SL: The Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG Edition IWC
As if the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG isn't desirable enough, Mercedes today has unveiled the latest in their long line of limited-edition models: the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Edition IWC. Limited to a mere 200 units, the SL63 Edition IWC boasts the full plethora of features found in the standard SL63 AMG, and in addition, also features an all- new exterior paint color; an AMG Performance package and a number of exclusive interior appointments. First, let's look at the new model's exterior. Immediately differentiating the SL63 Edition IWC from traditional SL's is the exterior paint - an all-new designo magno Kashmir white finish. To compliment the color, an AMG Carbon package with a matte surface has been added, with the trailing edge, the diffuser insert in the lower back panel and the side air vents on the front apron all featuring the carbon finish. Inside, occupants are nestled in a cozy Tobago Brown nappa leather interior with carbon accents on both the door panels and center console. Other interior highlights include AMG sports seats featuring multicontour and memory functions, heating, an AMG-specific perforation pattern, a special design and AMG badges; black AMG floormats with Tobago Brown leather piping; AMG door sills with white illuminated AMG lettering; and the IWC logo on the lid of the center console. And finally, because it's fitted with an AMG performance package, owners of the limited edition SL63 will also benefit from a smaller- diamter steering wheel; silver-finish aluminum gearshift paddles; 19- inch light alloy double spoke wheels; rear-axle, multi-disc limited- slip differential with a lock factor of 40 percent; and an AMG Performance chassis equipped with Active Body Control, among other things. Did I mention it comes with IWC Schaffhausen's “Grosser Ingenieur” (Great Engineer) watch?
