News Release:Celebrate the Summer of 2008 with a Special Cruise-In and Spike and the Bulldogs at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum!
AUBURN - The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum will turn back the clock on Friday, May 16 with a fun evening of hot rods and cool music. To start the evening off the Shifters Car Club Cruise-In will be held in the museum parking lot from 5 - 8 p.m. The cruise-in will feature many hot rods and muscle cars and is FREE to attend. The public is invited to enjoy the cars at the cruise-in or bring your own ride to show off! Delicious hot dogs, barbeque beef sandwiches, chips and soft drinks will be available to purchase during the show.
Immediately after the cruise-in, Spike and the Bulldogs will rock the museum from 8 - 11 p.m. performing many classic hits from 1955 to 1966 of legendary rock artists Buddy Holly, Bill Haley & The Comets, The Beatles among other favorites. Tickets are only $10 per person to attend the concert and may be purchased in advance at the museum, by phone at (260) 925-1444 or at the door the evening of the concert. Those attending will enjoy the oldies music of Spike and the Bulldogs, light refreshments, and a cash bar. You must be at least 21 years old to attend the concert. As always, the museum galleries will be open throughout the evening. Don't Wait! The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum - where the world's finest cars of yesterday live today! Over 120 classic, antique, vintage and special interest cars are displayed with other automotive related exhibits on three floors. The museum is located in the original 1930s national headquarters of the legendary Auburn Automobile Company and is a National Historic Landmark.
