Lear Receives Three 2007 World Excellence Awards from Ford Motor Company
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 21 -- Lear Corporation today announced it has received three Ford Motor Company World Excellence Awards for superior performance in 2007, tying for the highest number of awards for any single supplier.

There are three types of World Excellence Awards -- Gold, Silver and Recognition of Achievement. The Gold and Silver Awards are given to suppliers that excel in quality, delivery and cost; a Recognition of Achievement Award is given to suppliers who impact customer satisfaction by providing significant contributions in key areas such as Consumer-Focused New Technology, Ford Warranty Reduction Program, Corporate Responsibility, and Diversity and Community Service.
All three of Lear's World Excellence honors were Silver Awards, with 28 suppliers receiving a total of 32 Silver Awards. The Lear facilities being honored include:

World Excellence Awards were given to a total of 47 top global suppliers at 57 locations for their work in helping Ford develop high quality, lower cost vehicles that customers want.
