High School Auto Techs Compete at Ford/AAA Event
WHAT: Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Michigan competition WHEN: Wednesday, April 23, 2008 / 9:30-11:30 a.m. WHERE: Macomb Community College Expo Center 14500 East Twelve Mile Road Warren, Mich. WHO: Ten two-person teams of students from Michigan high schools and tech centers will work to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical "bugs" deliberately placed on new Ford automobiles by Ford engineers. The 20 young men will work with their partners competing for scholarships and automotive merchandise. The winners will represent Michigan in the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills National Finals on June 24 at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Mich. -- the birthplace of the auto industry.
