John Garner Joins SmartDrive as VP of North American Sales

Risk and Safety Leader Bolsters Management Team With New Appointment

SAN DIEGO, April 14 -- SmartDrive Systems, Inc., a global Driver Safety and Risk Management company, announced today that John Garner has joined the company as VP of Sales. With extensive expertise in sales and business development, Garner will broaden SmartDrive's current customer base in order to expand market share and increase overall sales.

Garner joins SmartDrive with nearly 15 years experience in the sales and marketing of high-tech products and has extensive experience in selling, as well as building and leading successful sales organizations. He gained senior-level sales and management experience with many industry leaders, as well as venture-capital-backed start-ups. Most recently, Garner held the role of Vice President of Client Development at Tellme Networks, a subsidiary of Microsoft, helping to grow the company to over $100M in annual revenue. Garner spearheaded Tellme's transportation practice which included industry leaders such as UPS, Federal Express, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and the Ford Motor Company.
