School Children Welcome the New ASIMO to Belgium

The festivities, which run from the 5th to the 13th April, are taking place at the innovative science and technology museum, PASS (Parc d'Aventures Scientifiques) and include the Belgian Grand Finals of Eurobot and Eurobot Junior, the international amateur robotics contest for schools and young people.

The new ASIMO will be performing four shows a day on the weekends (5th/6th and 12th/13th April) for the general public and three shows a day for schools and their pupils during the week (7th to the 11th April). Each demonstration is followed by a question and answer session.

ASIMO's visit to PASS follows a special demonstration recently arranged for the winners of last year's RobotechPro competition. The winning school travelled to ASIMO Studio, the home of ASIMO in Europe and was shown all of ASIMO's latest features, including the abilities to run at 6kmh, to climb stairs and to give and receive a tray of drinks.
