BLOOMINGTON, IN (April 6) - ABC Supply Company and Indiana Stoneworks, Inc. are joining forces to bring you the best dirt track racing that you'll see anywhere. The Safety-Kleen Sprint Cars, O'Neal Wood Products Modifieds, and the Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks will all be on hand to insure a great night of racing on the red clay.

This past Friday night our most recent Safety-Kleen Sprint Car Rookies of the Year (who were also National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Rookies of the Year) battled with the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame 410 Non Winged Driver of the Year for our regular sprint car feature win. A wild card in this season's battle for the sprint car championship is another great modified racer who following Brady Short and Jeff Bland, Jr. from modifieds to sprint cars. If you missed last Friday night's racing you missed a great show. Don't miss another one!

This Friday night will also be our first Bonus Night of the season. The Safety-Kleen sprint cars will be racing for $1700 to win; the O'Neal Wood Products Modifieds will pay $800 to win with proper decals; and the Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks will pay $700 to win with proper decals. We always have a great field of cars; however, the larger payoffs should fill our pits to overflowing

The Safety-Kleen sprint cars should turn out in even greater numbers as this will be their final tune up for the Spring Clash which will be run on April 25. While you're making notes on your calendar, mark down April 25. You certainly don't want to miss that one.

Bloomington Speedway is committed to providing the best motorsports entertainment every Friday night. The red clay for which we are famous assures a competitor who has trouble early in the evening a fair shot of moving up to take a good finish later in the evening. The track is the great equalizer. Join us on April 18 to see which drivers are leading to the Spring Clash.

INAUGURAL SPRING CLASH
AT BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY ON APRIL 25

BLOOMINGTON, IN (April 13) - This season, we are introducing a race that is destined to become one of our most popular races only three races deep in our schedule. The Sheldon Kinser Memorial, our big Indiana Sprint Week program, our fireworks show have all become races that our fans and competitors look forward to every year. The Spring Clash will almost certainly be anticipated in the same way in years to come.

In Indiana we are indeed fortunate to have literally hundreds of sprint car racers routinely testing their metal against the best drivers in the nation. They come to Indiana expecting to be ready for NASCAR at the end of a season. That's like a guitar player going to Nashville, Tenn. expecting to go to work on the Grand Ole Opry. It has happened; but not very often. However it does give us great sprint car racing. The huge crowds that turn out for our big races may be as important to the journeyman racers as the big prize money.

In addition, the O'Neal Wood Products modifieds will be running for $700 to win with proper decals and the Tire & Wheel Center super stocks will be in competition racing for $600 to win with proper decals.

Pit gates will open at 4:30 PM, the grandstand gates will open at 5:30 PM, hot laps will start at 6:30 PM, and racing will begin at 7:30 PM. General admission is $15 for this event (children 12 and under are admitted free to the grandstand when accompanied by a paying adult); and pit admission is $30. Coolers are permitted; but glass containers aren't. Overnight camping is also permitted.
