DIRT FOCUSES BACK TO VENTURA APRIL 19;
VENTURA FEATURES TO BOWMAN & BUTLER
Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway in Blythe, Calif. hosts the USAC California Pavement Ford Focuses Saturday, while the California Dirt Series resumes action April 19 at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway.
Ian Miille of Pleasanton, Calif. leads the pavement standings, five ahead of 15-year-old Canadian rookie Brendan Langlois, who won the March 29 race at Irwindale, Calif. Miille won the series opener March 22 at Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
Alex Bowman of Tucson, Ariz. won Saturday night's dirt race at Ventura Raceway, leading 20 laps to beat Garrett Hansen, Walt Johnson, Austin Mero and Jet Davison.
Johnson's finish left him with a six-point lead over Bowman in the new California Dirt standings going into the April 19 Ventura race.
Saturday night's 20-lap Junior Ford Focus feature went to Lance Butler, his second win of the young season. He trails Tyler Edwards by 10 points in the new Junior Ford Focus points going into an April 19 race at Ventura.
