KENYON MIDGETS RETURN TO ANDERSON MAY 14;

ARMSTRONG GETS "SURPRISE" WIN IN KENYON OPENER

            The USAC Kenyon Midget Series returns to the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway May 14 and if Sunday's series opener is any indication, the outcome should be unpredictable.

            Jeff Wimmenauer of New Whiteland, Ind. is the point leader despite not winning Sunday's race, while Caleb Armstrong of New Castle, Ind. won Sunday's race despite not visiting victory lane!

            Tyler Cottongim of Avon, Ind. led all 30 laps of Sunday's race but his car failed to pass post-race technical inspection, leaving Armstrong as the winner in his Bungee North America/Anderson Grain Kenyon/Yamaha. Officially, Armstrong will be recorded as leading the final 29 laps of the race.

            Wimmenauer finished second but his qualifying and heat race points left him one point ahead of Armstrong in the standings. Grant Galloway and rookies Mike Terry Jr. and Taylor Ferns rounded out the "top-five."
