Subaru of America, Inc. Appoints Heather Ward Manager of Corporate Communications

CHERRY HILL, N.J., April 2, 2008 -- Subaru of America, Inc. today announced the appointment of Heather Ward to manager of corporate communications. Reporting to the director of corporate communications for Subaru, Ward will be responsible for the company's corporate and internal communications.

Ward began her public relations career interning with Newsweek Magazine in New York City as an assistant publicist. From there, she joined automotive aftermarket, retail and service chain, Pep Boys in Philadelphia, beginning as a communications specialist and was subsequently promoted to public relations manager. Ward then worked at Raymour & Flanigan Furniture as PR manager and helped grow the public relations arm of the business. Before coming to Subaru, she worked as Regional Marketing Manager for Commerce Bank.

Ward holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and technical communication from Colorado State University and lives in New Jersey.
